Privacy policy
Glanceit is a personal desktop project operated by Ramin Raihan ("Glanceit," "we," or "us"). This policy explains how information is handled by the personal application, its SMS program, and these public information pages.
Information we process
- Messaging information: configured sender and recipient phone numbers, message text, message identifiers, delivery status, and any opt-in, opt-out, or support communications you provide.
- Session information: screenshots you choose to capture and submit, reference files, pasted context, session labels, requests, and generated answers.
- Application settings: messaging preferences and the provider credentials you enter into your local application.
- Website and support information: hosting providers may process ordinary request information, such as IP address, browser information, requested URL, and timestamps. If you email us, we receive your email address and the information in your message.
How information is used
Information is used to run the sessions you initiate, generate answers, deliver requested SMS updates, check delivery, troubleshoot failures, respond to support requests, and honor messaging preferences and legal obligations. The SMS program does not send advertising or promotional messages.
Mobile information and SMS consent
We do not sell or share mobile numbers, SMS opt-in information, or messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not sell personal information or purchase consent lists. SMS consent is specific to Glanceit and is not transferred to another messaging program.
To deliver messages, the configured phone numbers, message content, and related delivery information are processed by Twilio and mobile carriers. Such processing is for providing the messaging service, not for independent marketing. Information needed to honor opt-outs may also be retained by the messaging provider.
Other service providers and disclosures
When you submit a session request, its screenshots and reference content are sent to OpenAI to generate an answer. Answer and status text is then sent through Twilio and your carrier. These providers process data under their own applicable terms and policies. We may disclose information when required by law or as necessary to protect the service or address abuse; these disclosures do not authorize use of SMS consent for marketing.
Storage, retention, and security
Application preferences persist on your device. Stored provider credentials use the operating system’s encryption facility when available; otherwise they remain in memory. Session captures, reference snapshots, answers, and history are held in application memory and cleared when the app quits. This does not delete the original files on your device or copies already sent to providers or your phone.
Providers may retain submitted data and messaging logs according to their policies, account settings, and legal obligations. Support correspondence and consent or opt-out records are retained as needed to respond to requests, honor preferences, or meet legal requirements. No transmission or storage method is completely secure; ordinary SMS is not an end-to-end encrypted channel.
Your choices and requests
Reply STOP to the sending number to opt out of SMS. Reply HELP for help. You can stop initiating messages by ending the session or closing the app; messages already accepted for delivery may still arrive. Contact hi@raminr.ai to ask about information we hold or request access, correction, or deletion, subject to applicable retention obligations. Copies held in your provider accounts may require a request to those providers.
